We are seeking a skilled Steel Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various Steel building projects. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with precision tools and machinery. The Steel Worker will contribute to the manufacturing of high-quality steel products used in construction and industrial applications.
Responsibilities
Operate welding equipment including MIG and TIG welders to fabricate steel components.
Utilize various hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate production of components.
Perform rigging tasks safely while moving heavy materials using cranes and forklifts.
Conduct machining operations using press brake machines and plasma cutting equipment.
Measure dimensions using calipers and basic math skills to ensure precision in fabrication.
Assemble ductwork and other steel structures according to specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
Proven experience in steel work or related manufacturing fields.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG) and familiarity with various welding processes.
Experience with rigging, crane operation, and zoomboom driving is preferred.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as calipers.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
