Precast Concrete \xe2\x80\x93 Grouting & Patching Crew Member HIRING LEAD/DIRECT REPORT | Gerrit Sterk / Bart Van Haaren JOB TYPE | Permanent, Full-Time, Year-Round LOCATION | Blackfalds, Alberta DEPARTMENT | Precast Grouting & Patching DIVISION | Field CLOSING DATE | Open until suitable candidate is hired START DATE | As soon as possible
Position Summary Can you see the small details on large construction projects? Do you take pride in contributing to a team on large-scale projects? Does the idea of spending your workdays on varied sites across Western Canada excite you? If so, we would like to hear from you!
We are seeking candidates with construction experience to perform a variety of physically intensive duties including lifting, bending, kneeling, working from heights, using hand/power tools and being on your feet for long periods of time.

  • Mix and apply grout to designated areas
  • Patch and repair any damaged panels
  • Skillfully use grinders and other power tools to finish precast concrete
  • Accomplish a variety of tasks that help with the progress of the build
  • Working independently and/or effectively within a crew of 3-5 team members on the construction site
  • Take direction and collaborate with your foreman or supervisor
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures

Assets
  • Previous experience in concrete grouting, patching and caulking
  • Experience using small equipment |Ex: skid steer, zoom boom and aerial work platforms

Requirements
  • A valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license with reliable transportation
  • Valid Standard First Aid, Aerial Work Platform and Fall Protection certification
  • Minimum 44-50 hours per week
  • Available to work Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday
  • Physically fit and able to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have an eye for detail, color matching and a creative mindset
  • Able to work at heights with proper safety restraints
  • Good communication skills to receive and relay information to and from crew members, foremen and supervisors
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions
