WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Leading all pre-construction activities including estimating, budgeting, value engineering, Contracts and constructability reviews
Preparing and managing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed cost estimates
Coordinating consultant drawings, specifications, and scope development
Soliciting, evaluating, and leveling subcontractor and supplier pricing
Supporting project handover from pre-construction to operations
Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and trade partners
Contributing to continuous improvement of pre-construction systems and processes

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Preconstruction Manager to lead our project planning and estimation efforts. The ideal candidate will oversee the early phases of construction projects, ensuring accurate cost estimates, All Contract negotiations and executions, effective scheduling, and seamless coordination with design/build teams. This role is pivotal in setting the foundation for successful project execution, requiring strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills. The Preconstruction Manager will play a key role in managing bids, , reviewing schematics, and utilizing construction management software to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Lead preconstruction activities including budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.
Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to develop accurate estimates.
Utilize construction estimating software to prepare detailed cost proposals.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and clients to refine project scope and specifications.
Manage bid processes using tools like ProCore and Bluebeam to ensure timely submission of proposals.
Develop project schedules to align with client expectations and project timelines.
Oversee the use of construction management software for document control, change management, and communication.
Collaborate with project teams to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies during the preconstruction phase.
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and industry regulations during planning activities.
Ensure compliance with Bonding facilities and insurance requirements on all awarded and approved work
Full responsibility of trade compliance, contract negotiations and executions
Provide leadership in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality.
Qualifications
Proven experience in construction management or preconstruction roles within commercial or civil projects.
Strong proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings.
Extensive knowledge of construction estimating tools and process.
Experience with project management software, and construction management platforms.
Familiarity with construction processes, scheduling techniques, and civil engineering principles.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients, design teams, vendors, and internal staff.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Relevant certifications or degrees in Construction Management or Civil Engineering are preferred.
