Le

Praticien SQF - Qualite et amelioration continue

est responsable de la supervision, du maintien et de l'evolution d'un

systeme SQF robuste et conforme

, specifiquement adapte a la fabrication des

aliments dans

un environnement a niveau de risque eleve et tolerance zero.

Le titulaire agit de maniere proactive en tant qu'

autorite technique

en salubrite et qualite des aliments, assure la conformite aux exigences du

Code SQF

, de l'

ACIA

, des lois canadiennes et internationales, et soutient des clients et projets de portee

nationale et internationale

.

Responsabilites principales



Systeme SQF et conformite



Superviser le developpement, la mise en oeuvre, la revision et le maintien du systeme SQF incluant les plans HACCP et les programmes prealables, selon les exigences des sources reglementaires et les clients. Maintenir des programmes renforces : HACCP, controles preventifs, allergenes, corps etrangers, metaux lourds, food defense et food fraud. Veiller au maintien des certifications (Biologique,Sans Gluten,Non-GMO,Kosher) et au succes des

inspections de l'ACIA

.

Audits, non-conformites et clients



Gerer le programme d'audits internes et coordonner les audits SQF, clients et reglementaires. Etre responsable de la communication des rapports d'audits. Gerer les non-conformites et plaintes clients, identifier les causes racines et implanter des CAPA efficaces. Participer activement aux discussions techniques avec des clients nationaux et internationaux

Analyses, surveillance et amelioration continue



Planifier et surveiller les analyses microbiologiques et physico-chimiques des produits et de l'environnement. Analyser les tendances, recommander et implanter des actions preventives. Participer aux revues de direction (KPI qualite, tendances, objectifs).

Formation et culture qualite



Developper et deployer des formations SQF, HACCP et specifiques aux aliments a haut risque. Former les employes concernes et soutenir une culture de salubrite alimentaire exemplaire.

Requis usuels pour ce poste



Formation



Baccalaureat en

sciences alimentaires, microbiologie, technologie des aliments, genie alimentaire ou un domaine connexe

.

Certification SQF Practitioner

(ou experience equivalente dans un role ou l'on tient et gere un systeme SQF). Une formation ou experience solide en HACCP, GMP, audits qualite et salubrite alimentaire.

Experience requise



Generalement

3 a 7+ ans

d'experience progressive en assurance qualite / securite alimentaire en fabrication alimentaire. Experience demontree en gestion de systeme SQF, audits internes/externes, CAPA, analyses de tendances et amelioration continue. Experience de travail avec des clients nationaux et internationaux, en particulier dans des environnements a

haut risque (

ex. Ready-to-Eat / aliments pour bebes

)

.

Competences professionnelles



Excellente communication

en francais et en anglais

(essentiel pour interactions clients internes et externes). Maitrise des outils bureautiques (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), logiciels de QMS / Paperless un atout. Leadership, capacite a gerer des equipes transversales et a representer l'organisation lors d'audits ou presentations techniques clients.

Mobilite



Possession d'un

permis de conduire valide et d'une voiture

Quality and Continuous Improvement



Position Summary



The

SQF Practitioner - Quality and Continuous Improvement

is responsible for supervising, maintaining, and evolving a

robust and compliant SQF system

, specifically adapted to the manufacturing of

food in a high-risk, zero-tolerance environment

.
The incumbent acts proactively as a

technical authority

in food safety and quality, ensures compliance with the

SQF Code

,

CFIA

requirements, Canadian and international regulations, and supports clients and projects of

national and international scope

.

Main Responsibilities



SQF System and Compliance



Oversee the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF system, including HACCP plans and prerequisite programs, according to regulatory and client requirements. Maintain strengthened programs: HACCP, preventive controls, allergens, foreign materials, heavy metals, food defense, and food fraud. Ensure maintenance of certifications (Organic, Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, Kosher) and success in

CFIA inspections

.

Audits, Non-Conformities, and Clients



Manage the internal audit program and coordinate SQF, client, and regulatory audits. Responsible for communicating audit reports. Handle non-conformities and customer complaints, identify root causes, and implement effective CAPAs. Actively participate in technical discussions with national and international clients.

Analysis, Monitoring, and Continuous Improvement



Plan and monitor microbiological and physicochemical analyses of products and the environment. Analyze trends, recommend, and implement preventive actions. Participate in management reviews (quality KPIs, trends, objectives).

Training and Quality Culture



Develop and deliver SQF, HACCP, and high-risk food-specific training. Train relevant employees and support an exemplary food safety culture.

Typical Requirements for This Position



Education



Bachelor's degree in

food science, Microbiology, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related field

.

SQF Practitioner Certification

(or equivalent experience managing an SQF system). Solid training or experience in HACCP, GMP, quality audits, and food safety.

Experience Required



Typically,

3 to 7+ years

of progressive experience in quality assurance/food safety in food manufacturing. Demonstrated experience managing SQF systems, internal/external audits, CAPA, trend analysis, and continuous improvement. Experience working with national and international clients, particularly in

high-risk environments (e.g., Ready-to-Eat / baby food)

.

Professional Skills



Excellent communication

in French and English

(essential for internal and external client interactions). Proficiency in office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); QMS / Paperless software is an asset. Leadership, ability to manage cross-functional teams, and represent the organization during audits or technical client presentations.

Mobility



Possession of a

valid driver's license and a car

, as required for travel.
