to spearhead our cryptographic modernization initiatives. This role will focus on assessing, designing, and implementing cryptographic strategies that prepare our organization for a post-quantum future. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in classical cryptography, a solid understanding of NIST PQC algorithms, and hands-on experience building secure, scalable cryptographic systems in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the assessment, design, and implementation of
post-quantum cryptography (PQC)
strategies.
Provide
expert knowledge of classical cryptographic algorithms
(RSA, ECC, AES, SHA, etc.) and their application in real-world systems.
Develop and manage a
Cryptographic Bill of Materials (CBOM)
, including crypto-inventory and risk categorization for enterprise-wide systems.
Evaluate and recommend PQC algorithms, including NIST candidates (lattice-based, hash-based, code-based, multivariate, and hybrid models).
Define and implement
cryptographic migration roadmaps
from classical to PQC or hybrid cryptographic models.
Collaborate with engineering, security, and architecture teams to integrate PQC into:
Applications
Databases
Cloud environments
Internal platforms and services
Stay current with
NIST PQC standardization
, threat landscape, and emerging cryptographic technologies.
Provide
technical leadership and mentorship
to junior cryptographers and security professionals.
Ensure compliance with
industry regulations
, data protection frameworks, and enterprise security policies.
Utilize RSA Archer Engage for cryptographic risk and governance activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
7+ years of experience in
cryptography, information security, or related field
.
In-depth knowledge of
RSA, ECC, AES, SHA, TLS, PKI
, and related standards.
Strong experience with
post-quantum cryptography
, especially NIST PQC candidates.
Experience with

or similar governance/risk management tools.
Familiarity with
crypto-inventory, key management systems
, and secure lifecycle management.
Hands-on experience implementing cryptography in
cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
.
Strong understanding of
regulatory frameworks
(FIPS 140-3, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.).
Excellent leadership, communication, and documentation skills.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Computer Science, Information Security, Cryptography
, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in Cryptography, Mathematics, or related domain.
