Reporting to the E&I Supervisor, you will be part of the Energy and Infrastructure Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle\xe2\x80\x99s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
\xc2\xb7 Ensure all equipment in the power plant and facilities are functioning properly;
\xc2\xb7 Perform best practices in terms of preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs of five (5) Wartsila 5.5 MW generators, and all related mechanical equipment;
\xc2\xb7 Repair and maintain all on site portable and backup generators;
\xc2\xb7 Troubleshoot, perform diagnostics, repairs and adjustments of parts, components and systems;
\xc2\xb7 Become proficient in the operation of the power plant systems.
Qualifications
\xc2\xb7 A minimum of 5-7 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience on mechanical systems, fixed or mobile;
\xc2\xb7 Possess a Red Seal certification or recognized engineering equivalent;
\xc2\xb7 EGSA certification is considered an asset;
\xc2\xb7 A creative approach to problem solving, adaptability and flexibility;
\xc2\xb7 Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Note that the official working language at Meliadine is English.
Your Work Schedule:
\xc2\xb7 Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
\xc2\xb7 Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
