Working as part of the Application Development team and reporting directly to the Manager of the IT Product Delivery department, the Power Platform Developer is responsible for designing, developing, documenting, maintaining, and supporting workflow and automation application solutions. The successful candidate will create and construct workflow and automation solutions, ensure requirements are met, best practices are exercised, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of business processes and IS&T services. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work directly with business stakeholders to analyze business processes or pain-points and provide recommendations for workflow automation
  • Design, develop, document, and implement custom business application solutions
  • Track, monitor, and communicate enhancement progress/status against the project plan, requirements, quality measures, standard processes, and milestones
  • Produce high quality deliverables on time, including business requirements, work estimates, project plans, test plans, test scenarios/cases, functional designs and knowledge transfer materials
  • Contribute to operational efficiencies and error reduction by designing, developing, configuring, testing, and implementing workflow within a low-code/no-code environment
  • Design and implement screens, forms, and dashboards to capture user input, display data, and visualize workflow progress to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces
  • Participate in discovery, testing, design, development and deployment strategy of new features and enhancements
  • Take active ownership in the security and protection of member and organizational data
  • Provide support to end users on existing workflows in collaboration with the rest of the Product Delivery team
  • Resolve automation concerns in a timely manner and document steps to resolution as required
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of best practices and standard operating procedures
  • Write and maintain appropriate documentation to describe automation development, logic, and tools for revision.
  • Apply metrics to monitor performance and measure key project parameters
  • Provide after-hours remote system support as needed
  • Perform other related projects and duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Completion of a two-year Diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required
  • A minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 directly related development experience, accompanied with 1-year hands on experience with automation tools/platforms (Power Apps, Power Automation, SharePoint, etc.) is essential
  • Industry Certifications in MS, SharePoint, Agile, or Project Management are considered an asset
  • Low-code/no-code application development experience is critical
  • Exposure to Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is recommended
  • Experience in programming/scripting with CSS, SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript and general knowledge of modern development tools
  • Proficient in PowerApps for creating custom apps, and expertise in Power Automate for automating workflows between applications and services, experience with SharePoint development and administration
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles for creating intuitive and user-friendly interfaces
  • Familiarity in Windows Server, IIS, and relational databases
  • Understanding of common data service, data connectors, and APIs for integration with various services and databases
  • Proficient knowledge of M365 and MS Office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of best practices in security and compliance within Microsoft 365 ecosystem
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and compile data, determine impact, recommend solutions, resolve issues, and document program requirements
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada on an unrestricted basis
  • Criminal Record and background check satisfactory to Saskatchewan Blue Cross
