ROLE DESCRIPTION
Sonic Milling Systems is recruiting a highly motivated 5th Class Power Engineer for its Saskatoon processing facility. This position is responsible to operate and maintain food processing equipment. The Power Engineer will ensure efficient operations of the organizations boiler (80 HP) through production, maintenance, and inspections. This position is also responsible for compliance with government regulations and food safety including completion of all documentation and procedures in this area. Experience in a manufacturing plant preferably within the Food & Beverage industry is an asset. You must be able to work with minimal supervision, and as part of a multi-disciplined team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

This is a permanent full-time position based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Travel may be required within the province and annual corporate sponsored training will be provided which may be outside the province.

REQUIREMENTS
Must have a 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate.
Prior Boiler Operating experience.
Two to three years of previous experience in the Food Manufacturing industry is preferred.
Knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety compliance requirements is an asset.
Ability to operate specialized processing equipment.
