The Role:


The Power Engineer will be responsible for the daily tasks in the Maintenance department and for the operation of the Boiler systems. This position is required to assist the Maintenance Department with performing preventative maintenance, routine services, building walk-throughs and other non-technical building repairs or maintenance. In addition, this position will be required to assist in developing procedures designed to effectively maintain manufacturing equipment.

What You'll Do:



Efficiently and safely observe and monitor all Steam Boiler & Hot Water Boiler systems Perform routine maintenance (belt & filter changes) on HVAC units Regular preventative maintenance checks and monitoring of refrigeration equipment Assist Maintenance Team with maintenance checks or repairs on all manufacturing equipment Respond to Operator concerns, and service requests when required Conduct regular building checks and inspections; identify and document building concerns Build positive relationships across the Production teams Work with contractors or equipment technicians while they are on-site Perform additional maintenance tasks as required

What You'll Need:



5th Class Power Engineering Certification (Alberta) A# Required prior to interview
Valid Driver's License High School Diploma 1-2 years' experience working in an Industrial or Manufacturing setting Experience with CIP (clean in place) systems is considered an asset Experience in Dairy or Food Production, Manufacturing is considered an asset Physical capability to lift 50lbs and meet the demands of the jobs Computer literacy - working knowledge of Microsoft Office Basic hand tool skills

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair non-technical building components Ability to provide observations about building conditions and deficiencies and provide suggestions for improvement or repair Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills Effective communication skills to report, exchange and clarify data and equipment concerns Knowledge of interpreting technical drawings and models in Operating Manuals Ability to work independently and with a team Flexibility to cover Morning and Afternoon shifts High degree of accuracy and accountability Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills Great attitude to collaborate as a team and with other departments

Shift Schedule: Early Morning Shift (Subject to change)


- 4:00am - 12:00pm Mon-Fri



Starting Wage: $24/HR

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
