Position Title: Power Engineer 2nd ClassPosition Type: Regular - Full-Time \xe2\x80\x8bPosition Location: CoaldaleRequisition ID: 31173Essential Duties / Responsibilities:Operation and maintenance of steam boilers and their auxiliary equipment.Operation and maintenance of an industrial ammonia refrigeration system.Responsible for lockouts of steam and ammonia pressure equipmentMaintains accurate records for logbooks & SPC data entries.Troubleshoot, operate, and maintain energy recovery systems that utilize reclaimed heat for process.Responsible for overseeing/supporting the operations of 3rd Class Operating Power Engineers in adjoining facility.Completes maintenance work on steam, refrigeration, compressed air, and utility water equipment.Completes regular boiler and refrigeration water chemistry tests.Change air and oil filters on various pieces of equipment associated with the boiler and refrigeration operations.Must climb ladders and work at heights when working on several pieces of equipment.Required to lift up to 50 lbs alone and 75 to 85 lbs with assistance.In some areas will have to stoop, crawl, and work in awkward positions in order to service equipment.All other maintenance assigned tasks or functions as designated by Chief Engineer or Deputy Chief Engineer.Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Competencies)Work Quality \xe2\x80\x93 MUST promote and demonstrate safe workmanship. This position works a 4 on 4 off 12-hour shift, rotating nights and days.Must be capable of obtaining H2S Alive, Confined Space Entry & Forklift Operator certificates.Mechanical maintenance experience and ammonia refrigeration experience will be considered an asset.McCain Foods is an equal opportunity employer.
