As the Poultry Feed Specialist, you will be responsible for expanding our New-Life Mills market share in feed sales by prospecting and developing new customers. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this fast-paced role will be responsible for fostering and developing customer relationships.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Generate profitable business agreements for New-Life Mills at large
• Work with producers to create viable solutions for their business needs
• Identify and monitor reoccurrence of business needs to determine trends and rising business opportunities
• Promote the programs and services offered by New-Life Mills in a manner that highlights the benefits to the producer
• Maintain contact with customers and manage their service needs, complete reporting requirements as needed
• Developing budgets, forecasts, and strategy to meet sales targets
• Ensure regular communication with supervisor, production, nutrition, and accounting support.
• Create customer plans, weekly sales plans and efficiently create new weekly call planners and call sheet reports
• Ensure agreements are always compliant with NLM policy.
• Work with other business areas and departments, as required.
• Develop relationships with industry partners

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:

• Agriculture related education or equivalent experience is considered an asset
• Self-motivated individual with strong commitment toward delivering quality service
• Thorough knowledge of the poultry industry along with experience in providing modern, effective solutions for the producers in the area
• Experience in feed sales would be considered an asset.
• Experience in poultry husbandry practices would be considered an asset.
• Effective team player with strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills with a desire to learn
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be bilingual in French and English
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel most of the time
• Must have own vehicle in good working condition
