Primary Purpose:

The Vatanparast Nutritional Epidemiology Lab (VNELab) is seeking a talented and enthusiastic postdoctoral fellow to support in the facilitation of an ongoing randomized controlled trial (RCT), graduate student supervision, and knowledge dissemination within the VNELab.

Nature of Work:

The RCT focuses on providing a dietary intervention (milk or yogurt) to investigate the effects of fermented and non-fermented dairy on bone health, body composition, and gut health. Accountabilities:

The PDF will report directly to Dr. Hassan Vatanparast but will work collaboratively within the dynamic leadership team of the VNELab. The selected candidate will be expected to play a leadership role within the lab, providing training and guidance to junior lab members and contributing to ongoing work to advance the lab.

Education:

PhD completed within the last 5 years. Preferably within the field of nutrition or public health nutrition.

Experience:

The selected candidate should have experience conducting randomized controlled trials. Being a Canadian or internationally recognized registered dietitian would be viewed as an asset.

Skills:

The selected candidate should have the skills and experience necessary to coordinate a complex research project, supervise graduate students and research assistants, and lead a team effectively. Desirable soft skills include efficient and clear communication, the ability to work in a team and independently, creative thinking, and on-the-spot problem solving.
