A postdoc position at the EECS School at the University of Ottawa is available to develop machine learning models to detect intruder UAVs that communicate through a 5G network. The detection will be done using a software defined radio. Knowledge of machine learning and signal processing is required. Experience working with software defined radios is desirable. A good understanding of 5G communication systems and/or UAVs is desirable as well. Good software skills are needed. You will be working in a multidisciplinary team that includes scientists in different fields from the University of Ottawa, as well as several other Canadian universities, research centers and industry. The applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in STEM disciplines obtained in the past three years, with evidence of research productivity. Applicants must show that their previous research or industrial work is related to the project. Good oral and written English skills are required.
