We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
Monitor patients' health by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration
Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
Observe and document patient conditions, behaviors, and responses to treatments or activities for ongoing care planning
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's to assist with mobility or transfers safely
Support patients with memory care needs related to Alzheimer's disease or dementia through engaging activities and attentive supervision
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to develop or update personalized care plans
Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures, CPR certification requirements, and infection control standards such as HIPAA compliance
Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment for residents or clients
Assist with transportation or community outings as needed while ensuring safety at all times
Qualifications
Prior experience in home health, hospice care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately
Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are advantageous
Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, Alzheimer's disease or dementia preferred
Ability to lift heavy objects safely using proper techniques or equipment such as Hoyer lifts
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and families
Demonstrated compassion, patience, and dedication to providing high-quality patient care
Familiarity with medication administration protocols and care plan adherence
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends or overnight shifts as needed
