POSITION SUMMARY



This role plays a key cross-functional role, supporting both Fund Development and Community Impact functions within UWCA. This dynamic role focuses on supporting our strong relationships with donors, businesses, and community stakeholders, while also contributing to community impact initiatives and programs.

This role is an exciting role that works collaboratively across the organization to support the successful coordination and execution of events, workplace campaigns, funding initiatives, and outreach programs that improve lives across Central Alberta. This is a results-oriented role that fuels community engagement, requiring a high degree of professionalism, initiative, and adaptability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Working closely with the Donor Relationship Manager, key responsibilities include:

Administrative and coordination support for a portfolio of workplace fundraising campaigns and corporate partnerships to drive revenue growth through corporate philanthropy, employee giving, sponsorships and special events Create presentations, reports, and materials to support resource development initiatives Lead in the planning, coordination, and delivery of Sockey Day and UWCA 5K Run fundraising events, as well as support additional annual events and donor engagement strategies Lead and execute key UW Basic Needs programs and initiatives, including Period Promise, Tools for School, and Make Your Mark Facilitate and support the work of GenNext volunteer committee and steward relationships with committee and event volunteers Research, draft, and submit grant proposals aligned with organizational priorities Maintain and update campaign and program data to support donor recognition, impact storytelling, and reporting Participate in community partnerships and roundtables representing UWCA Cultivate and strengthen relationships with community organizations and sector partners to identify local needs, align services, and enhance collective impact through collaboration Contribute to program evaluations and community consultations to inform funding decisions

Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills across diverse audiences Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively Proactive and adaptable, thriving in a hybrid work environment that values both collaboration and autonomy Creative and detail-oriented, with experience designing engaging visual materials such as posters, pamphlets, one-pagers, presentation decks, and social media content Skills in tailoring messaging for donors, community partners, and the public Comfortable gathering and using data to evaluate and improve program delivery and engagement strategies Resilient under pressure and able to adapt to shifting priorities and needs

QUALIFICATIONS



Bachelor's degree in social sciences, business, communications, or a related field--or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years of experience in community engagement, fundraising, nonprofit, or project coordination Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Office 365); experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media platforms Experience in coordinating volunteers or working with committees is an asset Experience using Customer Relationship Management platforms is an asset

WORKING CONDITIONS



This hybrid role combines in-office collaboration with remote flexibility and involves extended periods of desk and screen time. Occasional evening or weekend hours will be required for events or campaigns, along with travel throughout Central Alberta.

The ability to lift materials may be required, including boxes or supplies weighing up to 40 lbs. for events, office setup, or campaign support.
