We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for the right person to join and work alongside the dedicated and community focused team of professionals in its Community Services Department as a Pool Maintainer.
Reporting to the Manager, Facilities and under the direct supervision of the Aquatic Centre Maintenance Supervisor, the Pool Maintainer is primarily responsible for the maintenance, cleaning and mechanical operation of the new Aquatic Centre. The incumbent ensures the Aquatic Centre is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition and is operating effectively and efficiently.
The incumbent must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, Pool Operator Certification (levels 1 and 2), standard first aid/CPR-C and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification, as well as a valid NWT Class 5 Drivers' license. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in janitorial work and building maintenance is also required.
The City of Yellowknife offers a starting salary of $80,146 per annum, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including monthly housing and vacation travel allowances and a defined benefits pension plan.
Please note: There is potential for the Pool Operator certifications to be attained through courses taught by the Community Services Department.
