Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Podiatrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in podiatric medicine and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves diagnosing and treating foot, ankle, and lower extremity disorders while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients' feet and lower limbs. Diagnose conditions related to the foot, ankle, and lower extremities, including injuries, infections, and chronic diseases. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may include surgical interventions, orthotic fittings, or conservative management strategies. Utilize EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including orthopedics, endocrinology, and physical therapy to provide holistic care. Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, and botulinum toxin treatment as necessary. Educate patients on preventive care practices and health coaching to promote foot health. Stay updated on advancements in podiatry through clinical research and continued education.

Experience

Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state license to practice podiatric medicine. Experience with EHR systems; familiarity with Epic is preferred. Background in inpatient care, outpatient services, or urgent care settings is advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology related to podiatry and general healthcare practices. Experience in critical care or perioperative settings is a plus. Strong patient service skills with an emphasis on compassionate care delivery.
