A career within CTO PMO Portfolio Management Office (PMO) in Toronto, Ontario Canada, will provide you with the opportunity to optimize key elements of CTO Or\'s operations, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with Bank policies and controls.

CTO PMO oversees all projects and programs under Canadian Banking, wealth, Tech SIP and Digital Strategy portfolios from ideation to execution and closure. We are building a team that seeks to implement processes and controls to monitor and ensure all projects adhere to Scotia Digital and Bank-wide PMO policies and procedures; and we provide executive reporting and analysis that enables our key stakeholders to understand, manage, and control project execution and risks for CTO Organization\'s initiatives.

The PMO Reporting Analyst, supports the CTO\'s organization and has oversight across all projects and programs within Scotia Digital from ideation to execution and closure. New initiatives introduce change to the Bank\'s operating environment, products and/or services which could lead to losses or other negative impacts to the Bank.

Is this role right for you?

The PMO Reporting Analyst must have a working knowledge of the Bank\'s project and investment portfolio policies, project financial standards, project delivery framework, and Enterprise policies .

  • Supports creation of new reports as needed
  • Leads sourcing of data and creation and publication of the regular PMO reports
  • Works with stakeholders to either create new reports or enhance existing reports
  • Supports the implementation of Power BI in the Digital PMO
  • Ensures projects comply to SD PMO\'s and the Bank\'s requirements.
  • Follows up on non-compliance issues that are identified through audit or portfolio reports published by SD PMO to ensure they are resolved.
  • Identifies continuous improvement opportunities and recommend changes to improve overall productivity and effectiveness of the portfolio and project management in Scotia Digital
  • Trains new PMs on the reporting requirements, cadence or any related topics
  • Supports SD PMO reporting requirements including compliance reporting, as needed
  • Actively participate and contribute to the development of data driven portfolio reporting strategies & dashboards including project health, status, risks, issues, benefits, financial forecasts, and trends, etc. to support decision-making
  • Develop and maintain a centralized location for CTO\'s PMO reports and documentation (mandates, processes, and standards)
  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge
  • Support SD PMO Reporting as directed by the Sr Manager of SD PMO
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business, Management, Operations considered an asset
  • 3-5 years of experience in banking, finance, or project management
  • Expert level knowledge of MS Excel. Working knowledge of VBA and Power BI and other reporting tools
  • Possess skills related to project management, and/or portfolio management
  • Strong knowledge of project methodologies, processes, and tools
  • MBA, PMP, Six Sigma or financial designation is an asset
  • Has experience with creating and presenting various materials including reports, dashboards, process/tool design
  • Financial Acumen
  • Excellent analytic skills with a solid understanding of PMO operations tools/criteria is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize problems and clearly apply analytic techniques for evaluating investments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all levels of the Bank
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Self-starter with capability of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
