The Plumbing Technician will be responsible for performing plumbing repairs, installations, inspections, and preventive maintenance in occupied and vacant residential units. The ideal candidate is experienced, safety-focused, customer-service oriented, and able to work independently as collaboratively with a team. In addition to plumbing responsibilities, the technician may be assigned other general maintenance tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, drainage problems, and fixture malfunctions. Install and replace faucets, toilets, sinks, hot water tanks, pipes, shut-off valves, and other plumbing components. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance across multiple properties Respond to emergency service calls promptly and professionally. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent. Collaborate with maintenance technician team, completing other general repairs as required. Ensure compliance with Manitoba plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications

Apprentice Plumber with relevant experience. Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver's license required. Clear Criminal Record required. Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems and Manitoba plumbing code Experience working in property management, residential maintenance, or service plumbing an asset. Ability to troubleshoot effectively and work independently. Strong communication, customer service, and time-management skills * Ability to lift and carry tools/equipment and work in a variety of environments (basements, tight spaces, outdoor conditions)
