Job Summary:
We are searching for a Plumbing and Drainage Designer to assist in the design and preparation of mechanical building systems drawings.
In this role you will: have responsibility for assisting project teams with drafting and design of plumbing & drainage and fire protection for various building facilities.
System design will include storm, sanitary, domestic water, sprinkler, standpipe and specialty systems including site services, pools, kitchens, laundries, pumping, medical gas, compressed air and others. You will have responsibility for preparing mechanical drawings utilizing Revit, performing design calculations, pipe sizing, coordinating plumbing and piping layouts.

Skills/abilities:

• Experience designing plumbing & drainage systems, and fire protection systems.
• Relevant post-secondary education and/or work experience.
• Proficient skills and working knowledge of Revit/AutoCAD
• Computer literacy using MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Registration as a C.Tech. or C.E.T. with OACETT would be an asset.
