We are currently hiring Plumber to work in Yellowknife, NT on various shifts, flights and accommodation included. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude with a strong work ethic, get along well with others in a team environment, but also comfortable working independently and leading projects. The goal is to find someone with the skills and knowledge to lead the entire mechanical department. Hours are based on a minimum of 40 hours per week and with opportunities for overtime. Certifications & Experience Required - Plumber - Gas Fitter - Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License - Minimum of 5 years experience in the Mechanical Industry - Training and Leading Apprentices and other plumbers - Must have a Certificate - Complete Plumbing for Residential and Industrial, including: \xc2\xb7 Plumbing an entire house \xc2\xb7 Installing pellet systems \xc2\xb7 Install, repair, and maintenance on boilers \xc2\xb7 Install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial, industrial plumbing fixtures and systems \xc2\xb7 Extensive Experience using standard plumber\xe2\x80\x99s tools such as snakes, wrenches, pipe threaders, hand and bench tools, power saws, and pressure gauges \xc2\xb7 Excellent interpretation of blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems and to provide recommendations for areas of improvement \xc2\xb7 Be familiar with various mechanical systems, including pellet, oil, and gas \xc2\xb7 Ability to manage time efficiently on various projects \xc2\xb7 Good communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot problems with plumbing systems and equipment \xc2\xb7 Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines \xc2\xb7 Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment \xc2\xb7 Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges \xc2\xb7 Assemble and install valves and fittings. Install, sinks, plumbing fixtures, appliances, and trim \xc2\xb7 Preventative Maintenance: Maintaining and servicing existing boilers, furnace, HWTs, etc. \xc2\xb7 Troubleshooting and identifying problems regarding failures in systems and taking necessary action for repair and replacement \xc2\xb7 Successful candidate must be highly skilled in the trade, be able to work alone and or with others. \xc2\xb7 Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. \xc2\xb7 Should have experience with all aspects of residential and commercial plumbing as well as their permitting depending on job requirements - Experience training Apprentices and Managing a Mechanical Division from planning, scheduling, and completing projects on time and within budget. - Accountability and excellent work and safety performance This job position will remain open until filled and we will contact qualified candidates via e-mail and/or phone.
