EDL is looking for an exceptional 3rd year-Journeyman Plumber who is a skilled professional, responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting plumbing systems and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. They ensure that water supply, drainage, and sanitation systems function effectively and comply with plumbing codes and regulations.

Performance Objectives

Demonstrate expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, sewage, and fixtures. Complete service calls within agreed-upon timeframes, minimizing disruption to clients' operations. Complete Boiler diagnostics. Complete all kinds of repairs and maintenance on commercial plumbing equipment. Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to clients' needs, communicating clearly and professionally, and ensuring that work is performed to their satisfaction. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage while working on commercial plumbing systems. Maintain accurate records of service calls, including detailed descriptions of work performed, parts used, and recommendations for further action. Collaborate effectively with other members of the service team, as well as with contractors, engineers, and facility managers, to coordinate work and achieve common goals. Perform routine maintenance on plumbing equipment and fixtures to ensure optimal performance and prevent costly breakdowns. Represent the company positively by maintaining a professional appearance, being punctual, and demonstrating respect for clients' property and privacy.

Capabilities / Key Competencies

Proven experience as in the commercial industry. Familiarity with phone operating systems (iOS, Android) High school diploma or equivalent; registered apprenticeship Proven experience as a Plumbing service technician, with a strong understanding of plumbing systems In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and installations. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Education & Experience

Experience in the mechanical/electrical industry in a commercial setting Journeyperson certificate and/or active registration to an accredited apprenticeship program

Working Conditions

This position performs work outside the office environment and may be subject to heat, cold, noise and other environmental factors. This position may require working in awkward body positions including climbing, kneeling, reaching, etc. Occasional heavy lifting may be required. Must be able to work on out-of-town jobs as required On-call rotation for after hours and weekends
