Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Maintenance:

Install new plumbing fixtures, pipes, and systems, and maintain existing ones.

Repair:

Repair plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and damaged pipes.

Interpretation and Planning:

Read blueprints and specifications, and plan work activities.

Safety:

Demonstrate safe work practices and personal protection.

Tool Usage:

Use and maintain a variety of tools, including hand and power tools, welding and soldering equipment, and hoisting and lifting equipment.

Problem Solving:

Troubleshoot plumbing issues and identify solutions.

Code Compliance:

Adhere to relevant plumbing codes and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Trade Certification:

Red Seal certification in Plumbing is required.

Apprenticeship or Experience:

Completion of a four to five-year apprenticeship program or equivalent experience is required.

Education:

Completion of secondary school is required.

Physical Stamina:

Requires the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues.

Communication:

Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Summary

As a Red Seal Plumber, you will be essential in delivering high-quality plumbing services while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Reporting to the Plumbing Supervisor, your role will involve utilizing core skills such as hand tools and power tools, along with premium skills in mechanical knowledge and HVAC systems. You will also apply relevant skills like blueprint reading and basic math to effectively troubleshoot and maintain plumbing systems. Your expertise will contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of our construction projects, making you a vital asset to our team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
Education:

AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)
Experience:

Plumber: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
