The Position is in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland. It is NOT a Camp. Four month contract. Could be extended. MUST be inter-provincial RED SEAL.

Transportation to and from NL included. Acommodation included.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. the candidate is responsible for supervising an apprentice.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment. Read and interpret blueprints to understand plumbing layouts and specifications. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various plumbing tasks. Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or potential problems. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and electricians, to ensure seamless project completion. Execute heavy lifting tasks as required during installations or repairs. Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.

Skills

Proficient in using power tools and hand tools relevant to plumbing work. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues effectively. Ability to read blueprints accurately for installation and repair purposes. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing projects. Experience in carpentry is a plus for integrated construction tasks. Familiarity with welding techniques may be beneficial for specific plumbing applications. Capability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of job responsibilities.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
