Duties



Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures (such as sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, water tanks, on demand water heaters, boilers, furnances) in commercial and residential structures (Mostly residential) Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other professionals during construction. Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems, identifying and diagnosing plumbing problems using appropriate tools and techniques. Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used. Adhere to all plumbing building codes and regulations. Ensure all work meets safety standards and follows best practices. Assemble piping systems as required for various projects. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete plumbing tasks. Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or necessary repairs. Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move equipment or materials. Apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing installations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Ability to work in a variety of environments, inside, outside, small dirty spaces.

Experience



Strong understanding of plumbing systems, including water supply and drainage. Knowledge of local building plumbing codes and regulations. Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing challenges accordingly. Communication and interpersonal skills, including customer service. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with the intricacies of working with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper. Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in basic mathematics and measurement conversion.

Education and Requirements:



Plumbing license Gas license (not required) At least 1-3 years' experience as a plumber Valid driver's license Must have own tools

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Apprenticeship

Pay: $35.00-$80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
