Plate Roll Operator (fabricating Industry )
Job Description
Job Summary: Using machinery to bend/form steel and metal materials
Job Duties: Rolling of steel plates/material.
Reading and understanding blueprints/drawings.
Perform duties in a safe manner; report safety hazards to committee.
Completing paperwork associated with position.
Operation of lifting devices when called for.
Layout dimensions on material/plate.
Machine setup/cleaning rolls.
Operation of the beveling machine.
Conduct pre-start-up inspection.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Standing for long periods, bending, kneeling
Working Works in a plant/manufacturing environment. Temperatures vary
Conditions: with seasons. Conditions can be noisy and dusty on occasion, however P.P.E. is supplied and recommended throughout plant area. Works plant hours of 7am to 4:30pm, except when overtime is required (when production is high, depends on industry).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week
Work Location: In person
