Job Duties:

• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of plant staff, which includes general labour and machine operators

• Ensure that plant production meets productivity goals and financial targets

• Ensure commodities produced meet the buyers’ specifications

• Coordinate with maintenance team to ensure preventative maintenance is performed on schedule and downtime is minimized

• Work actively with scale and shipping personnel to coordinate material flowing in and out of the facility

• Ensure detailed coordination and communication with management,

• Ensure good housekeeping and a safe, well-organized facility

• Prepare production and other reports

• Train personnel on floor operations, quality specifications of recycled materials, and safety procedures

• Provide recommendations to improve production and product quality

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability or willingness to be trained in operating and maintaining equipment

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or GED equivalency

• 2-3 years experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing or processing environment required

• Mobile equipment operation experience or certification (forklift, skid steer) preferred

• Experience in the waste management and recycling industry preferred

• Ability to speak, read and write in English

• Be available for overtime work if needed
