ETG Commodities Inc. is looking for a Plant Manager to join our team in

North Battleford, SK

. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and within a team environment, demonstrates sound decision-making aptitude and will also be responsible for:

1. Operations Management:

oOversee day-to-day operations of the grain facility, including receiving, grading, production, storing, and shipping of pulses products.

oMonitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely and accurate distribution.

oCollaborate with logistics teams to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.

2.Team Leadership:

oHire, train, and manage a team of employees, including operators, maintenance personnel, and other general labour staff.

oProvide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure a skilled and motivatedworkforce.

oPromote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

3. Safety and Compliance:

oEnforce safety protocols and ensure that all employees adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.

oStay current with industry regulations, environmental standards, and best practices to ensure compliance.

oImplement safety training programs and conduct regular safety meetings.

4.Maintenance and Equipment:

oCoordinate maintenance and repairs of machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime.

oDevelop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to prolong equipment lifespan.

5. Quality Control:

oCollaborate with quality control teams to ensure that grains meet established quality standards.

oImplement procedures for grain sampling, testing, and quality assurance.

6. Customer Relations:

Maintain relationships with suppliers, farmers, and customers to ensure smooth transactions and address any concerns. Provide excellent customer service to foster positive relationships and ensure repeat business.
7. Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of grain transactions, inventory levels, and operational activities. Prepare regular reports on production for senior management.

Employment Qualifications:



oBachelor's degree in agriculture, Business Management, or related field (preferred).

oProven experience in grain elevator operations or related agricultural processing industries.

oStrong leadership and team management skills.

oKnowledge of safety regulations and compliance in the agricultural industry.

oExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.

oProficiency in using computer software and technology for record-keeping and reporting.

oProblem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing operational needs.

oPhysical ability to perform tasks related to grain handling and facility maintenance.

oProblem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify and address operational challenges, equipmentbreakdowns, and unexpected issues quickly and effectively is essential. Plant managers need to makeinformed decisions to minimize disruptions and maintain smooth operations.

oDecision-Making: Grain elevator operations involve numerous decisions, from resource allocation tosafety protocols. Strong decision-making skills are necessary to balance competing priorities and choosethe best course of action for the facility.

oTechnical Aptitude: A solid understanding of grain handling equipment, machinery, and technology used in elevator operations is important. This knowledge helps in troubleshooting issues and optimizingequipment performance.

oLeadership and Team Building: Beyond managing tasks, effective leadership involves inspiring and motivating the team, encouraging collaboration, and creating a positive work environment.
