Plant Production Scheduler With approximately 3,300 employees, JBS Food Canada ULC (\xe2\x80\x9cJBS Canada\xe2\x80\x9d) is one of Canada\'s largest beef processors. Consisting of four locations\xe2\x80\x94the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more. JBS Ontario in Belleville produces fresh meat and seafood products for leading retailers in Canada. During the pandemic, we have implemented hundreds of safety measures including offering unlimited PPE, constructing permanent physical barriers, establishing physical distancing protocols, and installing hospital-grade ventilation systems in all of our facilities. At JBS Canada, our people are our greatest asset. We are very proud to have a team of high achieving, engaged employees. We are currently seeking a Plant Production Scheduler to join our JBS Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Plan, organize and oversee shift production schedules for all product produced at Brooks Facility;
  • Coordinate with Plant Operations teams and both Domestic and International sales teams in scheduling client orders in an effort to maintain make sheet accuracy and meet scheduling demands for product delivery to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate, assign and review orders to Material Handling Administration Clerks engaged in shipping, storing and distributing product for all domestic and global contract orders.
  • Manage daily cattle inventory to provide optimal balance between kill and fab, and maintain data used to drive system generated reporting and schedules;
  • Coordinate and Liaise on a continuous basis with Sales teams and plant Operations leaders to coordinate optimum product mix as established by Demand Planning and Pricing;
  • Manage daily box inventory levels between sold and unsold product and plant capacity;
  • Manage substitutions on customer orders and keep sales force informed of all changes in order contents or status;
  • Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics, in order to minimize deficit freight;
  • Ensure order prints and schedules are printed/released to plant daily in an accurate and timely manner;
  • Meet KPI\xe2\x80\x99s for Order Fill, Make Sheet Accuracy, On Time Departure and On Time Delivery for all orders;
  • Maintain Data within Order Management System that drives constraints and accurate forecasts.

Requirements:
  • 3 \xe2\x80\x93 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Plant Operations and/or Logistics
  • Post-Secondary Education preferred
  • Detailed oriented and strong mufti-tasking skills.
  • Good Knowledge of Production and Inventory Control Processes including Quintiq scheduling system
  • Above average Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good understanding of logistics, and the need for Demand Planning.
  • Management/Supervisory experience considered an asset
  • Knowledge of HACCP, Health & Safety concerns and GMP
  • Previous experience in a food processing industry is required.
  • Excellent English Oral and Written Communication; Team Player
  • Criminal Record Check is required;
