Plant Operator - Full Time

Company: Sprucedale Agromart Ltd. Location: Tara, Ontario

Reports to: Operations Manager

Sprucedale Agromart Ltd. is a full-service agricultural retail business proudly serving growers across Hanover, Tara, and Gore Bay.

As a growing, customer-focused team, we're looking for a motivated individual to operate our new automated blending system and help deliver exceptional service to our farm customers.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful applicant will possess the following skill set:

What you'll do:

oOperate and monitor our automated system to custom blend and load fertilizer

oWork collaboratively with fellow staff to keep plant operations running smoothly.

oMaintain accurate production and inventory records.

oCarry out daily checks and regular maintenance to keep equipment in top working condition

oReport potential issues to management or maintenance for prompt resolution.

oKeep the plant and equipment clean, organized, and safe.

oReceive incoming fertilizer loads and assist with logistics.

oOperate a front-end loader as needed to load bins.

oAssist in other operations in the off season

What you bring:

oA good working knowledge of computers (asset).

oBasic understanding of conveying or blending equipment operations.

oStrong mechanical aptitude (asset).

oExperience operating a front-end loader.

oTeam-oriented attitude with attention to safety and detail.

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 - 70 per week
