The Opportunity:

We have multiple opportunities for Plant Operators to join our Albian Operations - JPM Plant Ore Prep & Extraction team! You will operate the plant to meet planned production, quality and environmental targets. We are looking for self-starters with adaptive work style that works well in a fast-paced team environment with a continuous improvement mindset with the drive to enact change. This position reports to the Shift Team Lead.

Job location:

Albian Sands Site - Fort McMurray, Alberta

Shift schedule:

7x7 - rotating days and nights, working 12 hours/shift (Tuesday-Monday)

Key Accountabilities:

Ensure the safety of people, equipment, and the environment while ensuring plant procedures and policies are followed Perform plant operation duties including proactive equipment monitoring and rounds in a safe and efficient manner and ensure shift changes are well communicated with oncoming crew Prepare equipment for maintenance using Lock Out Tag outs (LOTO's) energy isolation of equipment Issue Safe Work Permits within a plant operating environment Ensure timely action and process adjustments during plant upsets that are consistent with operational objectives and target outputs Utilize our maintenance management system and entering work orders for deficiencies that need to be repaired

What You Bring to the Role:

A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) Valid and clean Class 5 driver's license Mechanical aptitude to manage hands-on operation of plant equipment an operating mobile such and skid steers, JLG Strong troubleshooting skills with a proven safety and environmental mindset and ability to make timely decisions associated with process upsets
