Are you a hands-on self starter with a proven track record in the trades, manufacturing operations, or expansion molding? Do you already have a strong understanding of manufacturing production, or are recently retired, looking for a smaller scale plant to manage? We may have the role for you!

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of our small, dedicated manufacturing facility. We are a specialized insulation company requiring help in starting up production. This is a fantastic opportunity to take full ownership of operations, drive efficiency, and ensure the consistent production of high-quality products. We are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of production and machinery, who is eager to help our company grow into this next chapter. We are seeking someone who can come onsite Monday to Friday, for a standard 8 hour work day out of our facility based in Mount Brydges Ontario.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



As the Plant Manager, you'll be the head of our small but growing operations, managing the facility as a whole, running our machines, establishing production schedules, helping hire and run the production team, and own the grow and development of the entire production space.

Operations Management:



Oversee daily production activities, ensuring output targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are consistently met. Optimize workflow for maximum efficiency and minimal waste. Manage raw material inventory, turn production machines on and off day to day and ensure safe and efficient start up and shut down standards. Manage stock and inventory levels Take direction from Sales department to organize machine output to match demand

Team Leadership & Development:



As the first hire your role will be to help determine when the team needs to grow and what roles are needed. Assist with hiring, onboarding and training for plant team. Leading, mentoring and managing the team as it grows. Foster a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous production within the plant.

Quality & Maintenance:



Manage and evaluate product quality, report findings and metrics to ensure quality efficiency. Manage and implement preventative maintenance of machine. Implement and enforce strict Quality Control (QC) procedures to ensure all finished goods meet customer specifications. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions swiftly.

Safety & Compliance:



Ensure the facility operates in compliance with all local, provincial, and federal safety regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Report safety hazards.

Qualifications & Experience



minimum 2-5+ years of trades experience in any field (ex. mechanical, electrical, Steam production, Manufacturing, welding etc) Some experience working with boiler (at any capacity) Willingness to be hands on, this job will require the successful candidate to be able to operate manufacturing machinery Some knowledge of lean manufacturing principles Willingness to learn, pivot and grow Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial equipment maintenance. Excellent, communication, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn on the job and a self starter Bachelors or college degree not necessary but college degree in a trade is an asset

Nice to Haves:



Leadership experience Direct experience with EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) manufacturing is highly preferred Direct Experience managing a full production cycle, from raw material receipt to finished goods shipment. Experience with foam, plastics, or related continuous process manufacturing is also a strong asset.
