Envirogreen Technologies Ltd. (ETL) is an established waste management company, leading the way in the treatment of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes. Our permitted hazardous waste treatment facility located outside of Princeton, BC, utilizes thermal desorption technology to treat a wide range of industrial waste and contaminated soil.
The Opportunity
ETL is looking for a motivated Maintenance Working Foreman with proven experience to join our team.
The Plant Maintenance Foreman works under the direction of the Designated Supervisor and works with other employees within the company to ensure safe work practices and policies, compliances and regulations are adhered.
The Plant Maintenance Foreman is responsible for overseeing plant maintenance and reporting any deficiencies or abnormalities to their supervisor.
The Maintenance Foreman will work closely with facility staff to create a positive and safe working environment, be a resource to management and facility staff for health and safety information and promote health and safety programs in the workplace.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in working in a production/industrial setting
Experience in installation, repair and maintenance of facilities, machinery and equipment
At least 3 years of experience in a Foreman position
Must be able to problem solve and train new employees
Must be able to perform safe work practices
Provide strong work ethic, be a positive team player, be able to mentor new crew members, and be able to lead by example
Basic understanding of office computer software and systems
Valid Class 5 driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
This safety-sensitive position must be filled immediately. Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required for this safety-sensitive position as immediate site access is required
Core Job Duties
Ensure staff are completing tasks and duties in a safe and timely manner
Coach employees
Coach staff on proper ergonomics, and conduct work observations
Ensure that water supply is winterized correctly at the end of operating days, and that the water system is prepared for start-up
Direct all mechanical work that falls under the maintenance group
Liaise with plant operations as needed, communicate any pertinent details to direct supervisor
Conduct daily toolbox meeting with maintenance staff and fill out relevant paperwork
Produce content for toolboxes, with input from direct supervisor
Elevate any serious repairs to direct supervisor
Maintain consumables/steel stock and report inventory levels to Supervisor, as a list
Report any employee concerns to Supervisor
Maintain active supervision of employees throughout the day
Oversee specific projects.
Identify areas of improvement, mechanically or through systems.
Equipment operation as needed
Perform maintenance tasks as needed
Complete daily safety paperwork
All other duties as requested by supervisor or manager
