Summary:

Exercising discretion and judgment, creates model drawings and detailed construction drawings for Commercial & Residential buildings in a manufacturing environment. Performs calculations and analysis to support designs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Drafts detailed construction drawings and installations such as walls, roofs, floors, plumbing, water, electrical, cabinets, gas lines, duct prints, foundations elevations, etc. Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences to complete drawings. Generates calculations for analysis of selected designs using approved software. Submits drawings to third party agencies for approval. Creates designs from rough sketches drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from sales and customers. Uses computer assisted design (CAD) equipment and software to create detail drawings. Drafts limited approvals and submit to sales and third-party agencies. Confers with Production and Quality Control staff to resolve design details or problems. Lays out, redesigns, and modifies home arrangement, and interconnections components and systems. Shows dimensions, material to be used, and other information necessary to make detailed drawing clear and complete.

Education and/or Experience

Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school which includes advanced training in Auto CAD, five years of work experience using the AutoCAD software or equivalent combination of education and training.

Qualifications

Must be Familiar with commercial & residential building codes in the US and Canada. CAD Navision Part Programming Product Development Computer Proficiency The Ability to Multi-task Supervision and Leadership skills Knowledge of Manufacturing Methods and Procedures
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
