About The Role:

We are seeking a

Planning Supervisor

to lead a Project Execution Planning Department across multiple programs, including Generation, Terminals, Rural Generation, Transmission & Distribution, and Exploits/Star Lake. This role will supervise a team of five planners, providing coaching, guidance, and strategic direction to ensure project schedules meet organizational requirements.

The successful candidate will be an experienced planning professional with proven supervisory experience in capital project planning. They will demonstrate leadership in coordinating multiple programs, mentoring staff, and ensuring schedules align with project and operational requirements. The candidate will have strong knowledge of planning tools and techniques, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the development and implementation of capital project schedules from planning through closeout. Manage project milestones and provide updates to management and stakeholders. Supervise outage planning and coordinate with operations teams. Develop long-term outage plans (2-5 years) in support of capital projects. Implement engineering labor analysis and resource leveling for future projects. Mentor planners, staff, and contractors to implement best planning practices. Review construction sequences, methodologies, material lead times, and task durations; develop planning contingencies. Promote a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications & Experience:

Business/Commerce or Engineering Degree, Technologist, or equivalent in planning/scheduling. Proven experience as a Planning Supervisor in capital project environments. Strong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, and Primavera. Utilities or industrial project experience is an asset. Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Please note that you may be required to work in an industrial environment, requiring hands-on field supervision. This may include working at heights, dirty/dusty and noisy environments, and confined spaces. All personal protective equipment and site-specific training will be provided.
