Role and Function

Plan and assign the duties for all staffing requirements. Create schedules and assist all levels of management with future scheduling requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Forecast, plan, create and implement schedules, including controlling the bid, for the Ramp department.
  • Must apply all airline scheduling requirements to scheduling needs of the department
  • Maintain good relationships with employees, co-workers, customers and airline authorities
  • Maintain and observe confidentiality with respect to employee records
  • Understand and abide by WSIB rules pertaining to injury at the work site, along with Swissport reporting requirements
  • Establish and maintain control over the staffing hours required for ramp operations
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Qualifications & Competencies

Staff planning/allocation experience required
  • Must be able to effectively communicate (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency in MS Office and proven ability to learn applicable software (GS Planning)
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Internal and external customer relations skills
  • Knowledge of Ground Handling Operations and strong understanding of the Collective Bargaining agreement
  • Must obtain and maintain valid unrestricted Transport Canada Security Clearance
  • Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining accuracy and diplomacy.
