Role and Function
Plan and assign the duties for all staffing requirements. Create schedules and assist all levels of management with future scheduling requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Forecast, plan, create and implement schedules, including controlling the bid, for the Ramp department.
- Must apply all airline scheduling requirements to scheduling needs of the department
- Maintain good relationships with employees, co-workers, customers and airline authorities
- Maintain and observe confidentiality with respect to employee records
- Understand and abide by WSIB rules pertaining to injury at the work site, along with Swissport reporting requirements
- Establish and maintain control over the staffing hours required for ramp operations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Competencies
Staff planning/allocation experience required
- Must be able to effectively communicate (verbal and written)
- Proficiency in MS Office and proven ability to learn applicable software (GS Planning)
- Must possess strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Internal and external customer relations skills
- Knowledge of Ground Handling Operations and strong understanding of the Collective Bargaining agreement
- Must obtain and maintain valid unrestricted Transport Canada Security Clearance
- Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining accuracy and diplomacy.
