Salary: $80k + depending on experience + benefits, RRSP. Bonus

Our client is an innovative firm that encompasses multiple disciplines inhouse and produces inspiring and award winning spaces. They are hiring for a talented Land Use Planner to join their Calgary team. This firm have an excellent track record, a strong reputation and a very collaborative and progressive work environmentTHE ROLE In this role as an Intermediate Planner with land development experience, you ill possess an in-depth understanding of the City of Calgarys planning application process and a strong ability to navigate development approvals. This role is perfect for a highly motivated, entrepreneurial individual eager to push boundaries and pioneer new approaches to urban development. Responsibilities include and not limited to:

  • Spearhead and oversee the approval process for diverse development projects.
  • Craft compelling planning applications and submissions for the City of Calgary.
  • Engage with stakeholders, leading dynamic outreach activities.
  • Develop and refine visually striking graphic presentations.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to craft forward-thinking solutions and meet ambitious project goals.
  • Maintain meticulous records and documentation related to approvals and permits.
  • Anticipate and proactively tackle potential challenges in the approval process.
  • Partner with clients and consultants, providing strategic planning insights and project management support under the guidance of an Associate or Principal.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative proposals in collaboration with senior leadership.
Who You Are
  • Passionate urban innovator with a Professional degree in Planning or a related field (Masters level preferred).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience navigating urban development and approvals.
  • Deep understanding of City of Calgary planning policies and approval frameworks.
  • Master of visual storytelling and graphic design (Adobe Creative Cloud expertise required).
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, boundless energy, and a bold, creative mindset for reshaping cities and landscape
