We are currently looking for a full-time

Plan Reviewer

to join our team in our

Design & Engineering Department.

Working closely with our drafting and design team, this individual must be detail oriented with excellent working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications and applicable codes and standards in order to check and review all plans prepared by the drafting and design team.

Qualifications:

Completion of an engineering technology or equivalent program Knowledge of Canadian National Building Code (Part 3 and 9) Previous AutoCAD & Revit skills and experience Knowledge with Microsoft Office, specific to excel Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, under tight timelines, in a fast-paced environment Effective problem-solving skills Ability to work with a team and individually Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Review client approval packages for Residential and Commercial Projects, such as floor plans, kitchen layouts, elevations, cross sections, foundation plan, mechanical and electrical layouts Review construction drawings and details for manufacturing Review Heat loss calculations Review and prepare construction calculations for headers and beams Provide guidance and instruction to the drafting & design team Special Material Take Offs for Purchasing Team such as, but not limited to, Wood Siding, Stone Siding, Aluminum and Glass Railing Systems Approve Window and Truss cut sheets for ordering Receiving and answering questions from the production department Issuing order changes
