: The Opportunity:WSP is looking for a PLAA (Permits, License, Agreements & Approvals) Lead, to join our Strategic Advisory & Planning team, located at one of the WSP offices or on-site project office. Reporting to the Design Area Manager, for the Program Administration Team, you will be responsible for managing the permits and approvals for any project scope directed by Metrolinx to the Program Administration Team related to the Union Station Enhancement Project (USEP). This position involves extensive contact and collaboration with the OnTrack Alliance project team and external stakeholders.Why choose WSP?

• Work with the project team in early identification in early identification of permit and approval requirements for the project.
• Work with other disciplines within the project team to understand the permit and approval requirement timelines and the effects on the project schedule to minimize project delays.
• Manage the coordination of the permits, licenses and approvals and ensure all are received on time and by schedule.
• Lead all permits and approvals required for the project.
• Oversee the project PLAA coordinators to track the status of each permit and approval application.
• Identifying risks associated with permitting, and approvals delays and mitigating risks where applicable.
• Identify and engage with project stakeholders, understanding their needs and pursuing their buy in for the project and the projects works.
• Prepare presentations and internal work flows as necessary to complete the works associated with scope.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Lead the coordination and the scheduling of meetings with Stakeholders and the OnTrack Alliance team, as needed.
• Ensure that external stakeholders are engaged when appropriate to obtain feedback as necessary.
• Coordinate internal and external regulatory approval processes.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders, including Governmental Authorities.

What you'll bring to WSP:

• University degree or college diploma in one of the following disciplines: Law, Real Estate, Appraisal, Business Administration, Geography, Urban Planning.
• Minimum 10 years of experience working in Project Permitting and Approvals or in large-scale public infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of the project management process, including an understanding of the need to meet cost and schedule requirements is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in permitting for construction projects.
• Experience working on transit or transportation projects with MTO (Ministry of Transportation Ontario), Metrolinx, TTC (Toronto Transit Commission), and/or Regional Road.
• Experience with or knowledge of real estate principles and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of alternative project delivery methods, including design- build and progressive design build.
• Requires sound judgement; excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, verbal communication and technical report writing skills.
• Experience with or knowledge of real estate & negotiation skills
• Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) would be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of the TPAP (Transit Project Assessment Process) Process would be considered an asset.
• Proven leadership and management skills.
• Ability to work successfully in multi-disciplinary teams and across different business units in a matrix organization with little to no supervision.
• Ability to adapt well to changes in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment.
• Experience in a Consulting Engineering environment is an asset.
