Plains is looking for a Pipeline Technician to work on our pipeline system in the Slave Lake area. The successful candidate will provide support to operations, maintenance, and projects in addition to ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies/procedures.
Our Ideal Candidate Is:
Flexible and willing to work within pipeline/truck terminal operations and provide project support;
Able to perform minor maintenance duties with pumps and piping, demonstrating mechanical aptitude;
Able to work independently or as a team member with minimal supervision;
Able to conduct daily duties that consist of pipeline pigging, sampling, trucker audits, housekeeping, etc.; and
Self-motivated and energetic with effective written/verbal communication skills.
Qualifications:
Ground Disturbance experience would be considered an asset;
Able and comfortable to drive to and from different site locations;
Comfortable working alone when required;
Can accommodate work shift of 8 days on 6 days off
Permanent resident (100 km radius) within the Slave Lake area;
Minimum Grade 12 education;
Demonstrated computer knowledge with experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel;
Cleared criminal history (background) check and satisfactory reference checks;
Compliance with the company\xe2\x80\x99s Drug & Alcohol Policy; and
Valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License with a clean abstract.
