Journeypersons & Apprentice Pipefitters with Rigging Experience

BHP Potash Mine Project
in Jansen, Saskatchewan.
SALARY:
$33.47- $47.12

Requirements:
Must have a valid Journeyperson or Apprenticeship Pipefitting ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
Assisting Ironworkers with rigging and heavy lifts
Must have experience working at heights
Must be willing to attend safety training (paid by WorleyCord): CSTS, WHMIS2015, EWP, Fall Protection, Confined Space
Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
Strong communication skills written and verbal
Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
Responsibilities:
Studies blueprints, drawing and specifications to determine the lay out of work
Position steel units, align holes and insert temporary bolts while checking alignments and joining steel parts using simple torque and hand wrenches
Rigging - Attach cables from a crane and direct crane operators with hand signals and/or radio
Unload and stack steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed
Ability to recognize spool hoisting point and utilize proper rigging techniques and signals while working in a fast-paced environment
May perform other duties as assigned
