Job Description




As a Journeyperson Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various piping systems in accordance with industry standards and project specifications. You will work closely with our team of professionals to ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role offers the chance to showcase your expertise, contribute to challenging projects, and enjoy a predictable work schedule that allows for ample time off.

This role is based on a client site, located in WhiteCourt, AB. This position does not provide LOA or travel time, but is ideal for someone local to the Whitecourt area looking for a new permanent opportunity.

What would you be doing?

  • Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and instruments to use and lay out the sequence of tasks.
  • Draft detailed sketches for pipe and equipment fabrication and installation.
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install metal, plastic, and fiberglass pipes, valves, and fittings.
  • Join pipe sections, and related equipment and secure in position.
  • Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks.
  • Maintain and repair piping systems.

  • Journeyperson ticket.
  • Valid WHMIS ticket is required.
  • Valid Aerial Work Platform, Fall protection and TDG are assets.
  • Enjoy a varied workload.
  • Must have your own reliable transportation.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
