We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipelayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various heavy equipment. As a Pipelayer, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of pipelines, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and safely. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Duties

Responsibilities:
Install pipe for storm, water, sanitary main, Hydro, Telus, and Shaw
Grade trenches and culverts, positions pipe, seals joints
Use instruments including lasers, grade rods and transit levels
Other labour duties as assigned
Requirements:
Two (2) years proven civil pipelayer experience for a privately held or family-owned general contracting business is preferred
Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada
Install, repair, and maintain pipelines for water, sewage, and other utilities.
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and bucket trucks to assist in pipeline installation.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
Perform rigging operations as needed for lifting and moving materials.
Conduct trenching and excavation work while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
Maintain equipment in good working condition through regular inspections and basic repairs.
Follow all local codes and regulations regarding pipeline installation.
Requirements
Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in heavy equipment operation.
Proficiency in operating excavators, backhoes, and bucket trucks.
Familiarity with electrical systems including low voltage applications is a plus.
Experience with welding techniques is desirable.
Strong understanding of rigging principles and practices.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
