Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pipe Layer to join our team. The Pipe Layer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipes used for water, sewer, and storm drainage systems. This role requires working in a construction environment, ensuring the proper installation of piping systems while adhering to safety standards and quality expectations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work efficiently in various weather conditions.

What You'll Do

Lay and install pipes for water, sewer, and storm drainage systems according to blueprints and specifications. Prepare trenches for pipe installation, ensuring proper alignment and slope. Measure, cut, and assemble pipes and fittings to ensure proper connections. Work with equipment operators to position and install large pipes and equipment. Perform tasks such as digging trenches, backfilling, and compacting soil. Ensure proper sealing of pipe joints and connections to prevent leaks and ensure system integrity. Assist with the inspection and testing of installed pipes to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and work areas regularly. Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing necessary protective gear and reporting safety concerns. Collaborate with team members, including foremen, laborers, and equipment operators, to ensure efficient project completion. Ensure all work is completed on time and meets company and regulatory standards. Perform any other related tasks or duties as assigned by the Site Foreman or Supervisor.

What You Bring

3+ years of experience in pipe laying, construction, or related fields (experience with water, sewer, and storm systems is a plus). Knowledge of pipe materials, installation techniques, and safety procedures. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Experience with hand tools, power tools, and trenching equipment. Ability to work in all weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively on the job site. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred.

Pay: $21.75-$27.20 per hour
