Summary

The Pick line Sorter is a production line position in a manufacturing environment. Employees will work as part of a team to sort recyclable material from Cardboard, paper to plastics and remove contamination. Your contributions will play a vital role in supporting our recycling operations. Must have own transportation or ability to get to the landfill site.

Job Duties

:

Manually sort recyclable materials from conveyer belt Demonstrate ability to work effectively as a part of a team Ensures proper use of PPEs and hazard controls in place Cleaning of work area during down time and at end of shift Perform assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner and abide by all Company policies and procedures Responsible for reporting any damage to equipment and tools to Shift Supervisor Other duties as assigned.

The following certificates and skills are not required but will be considered an asset

First Aid Fall Protection Confined Space Entry Experience operating forklift Experience operating 544 Loader

Requirements

:

English Language Fluent Good oral and written communication Ability to interpret verbal instructions Physical ability to pick items of a moving line Stand for extended time periods (2 hours) Able to work under pressure Ability to lift over 10 pounds Equipment and spatial awareness

Work Conditions:

Indoor environment Dusty environment (Dust Masks provided) Constant standing, twisting and forward bending Fast work pace Constant hand activity (Griping, grasping, pushing, pulling, wrist rotation)

PPE Requirements

:

Steel Toe boots (not provided by company) all other P.P.E. provided

Transportation Travel Information

:

No Public Transportation available. Must have transportation.

Hours & Availability

:

Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm

Expected hours:

40 - 44 per week

Schedule:

Day shift Monday to Friday No weekends

Wage:

$18/hr
