Although job is working from home, it will still require a certain level of professionalism, including language being used, and business casual as the standard of dress code.
You will also need a certain amount of piano chording skills (reading off chord charts).
Duties:
- Conduct piano lessons for students of various ages and skill levels
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the needs and goals of each student
- Teach students proper piano techniques, including finger placement, technique, music theory, etc.
- Provide guidance and support to help students improve their musical skills and achieve their learning objectives
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them grow as pianists.
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns or questions
Requirements:
- Proficiency in playing the piano and a strong understanding of music theory
- Experience working with children is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and parents/guardians
- Patience, adaptability, and the ability to tailor teaching methods to meet individual student needs
Note: University degree is not relevant to the position of Piano Instructor.
