Job Description

Body Dynamics is a well-estabilished multi-disciplinary rehabilitation clinic located near Eglinton West and Dufferin.

This position is apart time position for a physiotherapist assistant for SATURDAYS.

The key responsibilities are:

Provide clinical care for assigned patients Provide timely and astute information to relevant team members Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required for effective patient interaction. This is a fast pace environment and time management skill is necessary.

Participate in program planning Proper cleaning of equipment and shared spaces and facilities according to the Ministry of Health regulations Follow the clinic's COVID-19 protocol for proper screening and monitoring of patients and staff, and cleaning of equipment Assist the administrator staff with booking, reviewing notes with patients and obtaining signature Implement the components of the treatment plan as directed by the physiotherapists and chiropractors Assist patients with their exercise program Apply treatment modalities including laser, TENS, shockwave, Interferential current therapy (IFC), heat and cold therapy Assist with cleaning and preparation of the treatment rooms Assist with walking, transfers and safe mobility, etc. Monitor and report changes in health status to the supervisor Order prescribed assistive or adaptive equipment Maintain equipment inventories
Training and support is provided for all new and existing assistants as requested.

Qualifications

Strong patient care skills Knowledge of physiotherapy terminology Experience with physiotherapy modalities Excellent time management abilities Effective communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals Ability to assist in various therapeutic activities and support physiotherapists in treatment plans
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.50-$18.00 per hour
