We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physiotherapists to support patient rehabilitation and recovery. Your primary focus will be on assisting patients in their treatment plans, ensuring they receive the highest level of care in a hospital or clinical setting.
Duties
Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries or surgeries.
Help patients with exercises and mobility activities, ensuring proper techniques are followed.
Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions, maintaining cleanliness and organization.
Educate patients on exercises and self-care techniques to enhance their recovery process.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient care and progress.
Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and outcomes as required by the facility.
Assist with billing and booking patients as needed
Help maintain the site clean and organized
Experience
Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, particularly in acute care environments.
Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous to facilitate effective communication within the team.
A background in patient care is essential, demonstrating a commitment to providing quality support to individuals undergoing rehabilitation.
Experience working in a hospital setting is a plus, as it provides insight into the dynamics of patient care within a clinical environment.
