Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to support our healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care. This role involves assisting licensed physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans, preparing patients for therapy sessions, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for recovery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, experience in private clinic or acute care settings, and a passion for helping patients regain their mobility and strength.

Responsibilities

Assist physiotherapists with patient assessments and therapy sessions Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for use Support patients during exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety Monitor patient progress and report any concerns or changes to the supervising physiotherapist Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes Provide compassionate patient care, addressing questions and offering encouragement Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records

Qualifications

Prior hospital, private practice or acute care experience is highly preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy and patient care Experience working with diverse patient populations, demonstrating empathy and professionalism Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols Certification or training as a Physiotherapy Assistant is advantageous but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered A genuine interest in supporting patient recovery and improving quality of life
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
