Position Summary




As a Physiotherapy Aide, you will play a key role in delivering Group23's brand promise by providing exceptional rehabilitative support and treating every client as an individual with unique goals. You'll assist physiotherapists, manage inventory, support clinic operations, and help create meaningful rehabilitation experiences for patients and their families. Duties and Responsibilities



Patient Experience & Care



Assist Registered Physiotherapists with patient treatments, ensuring understanding and safety Teach patients basic exercises and monitor correct body form Support patients on and off equipment (e.g., AlterG Treadmill) Prepare, apply, and remove hot/cold packs, ultrasounds, and electrical modalities Perform brace fittings for over-the-counter products Clean treatment tables, modalities, and supplies after each patient

Clinic Operations & Process



Maintain laundry services and clinic tidiness according to safety standards Charting duties for BFR and Alter-G visits Advise Lead/Manager of critically low inventory and suggest enhancements Use POS systems for product sales

Teamwork & Communication



Act as a liaison between physicians, physiotherapists, and patients Foster a positive work culture and contribute to team success through solutions-based thinking Support facilitators in patient enrollment and documentation

Data & Record Management



Ensure accurate entry of patient information in management systems Attach relevant documentation to patient charts Maintain excellent record keeping and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs)

Continuous Improvement



Promote programs to patients and ensure post-treatment documentation is completed Seek opportunities to improve patient experience, clinic processes, and service delivery

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs):



Knowledge



Corporate purpose, mission, values, and key objectives Privacy legislation for healthcare and business operations Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) standards Human anatomy & physiology, training principles, Alberta Health Care Systems Use of EMR, CMS, inventory management, and POS systems

Skills



Excellent verbal, auditory, and written communication Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability Planning, organizing, and attention to detail Accurate keyboarding, data entry, and record keeping Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel

Abilities



Foster a positive work culture aligned with Group23's purpose and values Maintain high energy and enthusiasm; deliver quality patient interactions Work collaboratively, resolve issues, and engage in crucial conversations Maintain confidentiality and professionalism Compile and report data from various sources

Qualifications



Courses in Kinesiology or Physiotherapy Assistant preferred Previous experience in a physiotherapy clinic or as a kinesiologist preferred Experience with electronic medical records and/or client management systems an asset Police Information Check required upon hire and as requested CPR certification and customer service/de-escalation training are assets Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift moderate to heavy loads
